First Day of School 2013

This year we had an extra week of summer due to switching districts. School started August 26th for Luke and I and Jake's first day of daycare, while Andy and Zach started a couple days later on August 28th. Wayne started a full week earlier in Belle Fourche and gets out a full week ahead of us for summer break too. On the first day of school.....

3rd Grade, Ms. Julie Reinert, Creekside Elementary Spearfish, SD

Andy is 8 years old, weighs 88 lbs and is not (?) tall. His favorite things are science experiments, crafts, Wii, iPod games, Minecraft, Legos, & Lego Starwars. He likes to read and does well at it. He is also very good at math thanks to his dad. His best friends are Devin, Ryan, Blake and Lane.He wants to be a Math teacher and coach when he grows up :) 

1st Grade, Mrs. Laura West, West Elementary Spearfish, SD

Zach is 6 years old, weighs 46 lbs and forgot his height as well. His favorite things are dinosaurs, specifically Jurassic Park, scary things, Zombies, drawing, Minecraft, some Wii games and dare devil bike riding. He does not like to read but Math is okay. His friends are Isaac, Ian, Logan, Riggin, Evan and Gabe. He wants to be a cop when he grows up. 

Pre-K, Miss Rena & Miss Kim, Miss Amber & Miss Mia, Kid Konnection, Spearfish SD

Luke is 4 years old (for the first week of school), weighs 54 lbs, is around 36" tall. His favorite things are Avengers and other Superheroes, Monkeys, riding bikes, playing outside, Wii, Minecraft, books and science experiments. His favorite science experiment is vinegar & baking soda. His friends are Gabe, Riggin, Ian, Logan & Lucas. 

Jake, 1st time going to daycare, Shannon Stores, Belle Fourche, SD

Jake is 15 months old, around 18 lbs and 27". His favorite things are Laugh and Learn toys, Hungry Caterpillar, Jake & the Neverland Pirates, baths, Ooops! by David Shannon, which he has memorized and can recite part of and he loves being outside. His baby buddies are Kyler with the same bday, William & Scarlet and Benny. 

Kandi's first day back in public school!! 28 years old. Weighing less than last year, more than I wish, still 5' nothing. Miss Betty is my mentor teacher Kindergarten Special Education, Mountain View Elementary, Spearfish, SD

Wayne's 5th year of teaching math. Yay for loan forgiveness this year!! 4th year of driver's ed, 5th year of coaching wrestling & being on football staff. 32 years old, still buddies with his boss and the man cave crew at the high school.
